My uncle hunts in letohatcheee he takes off about a month in January till the end of Feb and he said he hasn't seen any sign of it kicking off yet

I watched 5 racked bucks feed with 15-16 does/babies in a 2ac greenfield in S Montgomery county yesterday afternoon. Every once in a while one of the smaller bucks would let out a grunt and run around the field like a fool but nothing really paid him any attention. The two bigger bucks made scrapes though. Same field the past Saturday I saw 12-15 does/babies and 9 racked bucks. 7 of those bucks came out in groups of 2-3. They all fed with the does/babies. I feel like we are probably about a week or so out from really seeing some rutting action.

It’s starting in Dale. Last two days little bucks have been on their feet bigly and last nite got pics of a nice one kicking another bucks arse. I have been unable to walk for two weeks due to a fall but thank goodness I am better and I will be in a stand this afternoon. Almost hope a good one does not show because I still can’t deal with getting one out or loaded.

Had a 4 year old 8pt in my yard at 10 a.m. chasing a doe hard. He had her hemmed in between my barn and a fence line. I had walked out to go down to the barn when I saw them at about 25 yards. Took him a couple of minutes to realize I was there. When he finally saw me he hightailed it back to the woods. She stood there a minute or so and then chased him down and within 5 minutes they were back with him chasing her again. I'd say it has started. Pike Road area.

Have seen three different bucks chasing does on highway 82 in Montgomery county.
