the Canyon Grill, about 1/2 hour north of Mentone, is excellent. It's a pretty drive up there and back. They will let you bring your own drinks, and provide set-ups. They take walk-ins, but you would be wise to make a reservation.
That is one of my favorite places to eat hands down.

I went up to Mentone this summer and kept trying to figure out why it seemed like every establishment was designed by a person tripping on mushrooms. Hippy Dippy libs, many of them, with a creative flair and desire to have a little mountaintop commune community. If someone put in a BILLY RAY'S MANLY MEATY STEAKHOUSE & BREWS, I suspect there might be a ripple in their time-space warpzone. But it probably would go over pretty well, to be honest. Not sure how many brews it would take to fly over the brick wall into Valley Head but probably not many. Now, if Grand GeeGee put in a tomato pie takeout she'd probably be welcomed with open arms until the Wildflower Mafia tossed her into the river.

Wildflower Cafe, get the peanut butter pie. Was there several years ago & remember that being good. Still left there hungry
The left lane is for the the purpose of moving the flow of traffic forward regardless of the speed limit. If your impeding the flow of traffic get your ass in the right lane. It's really that simple...

Any body ever went skiing in Mentone? What are the options if you go….tubes, skis or snowboards?

Any body ever went skiing in Mentone? What are the options if you go….tubes, skis or snowboards? It's been a long time, but I was surprised at the time at the amount of snow they had. I think it has to be below freezing for at least a couple of day straight for them to make snow. We haven't been up there since Irish Jr. was a kid, so maybe 13 years?
