I burn all burnable trash in a 6' across burn pit in the back about 30 yards from the house. Only hard part is teaching folks what "burnable" is.....

We dont have trash pick up. So, I put glass and tin in a can and aluminum in another. Food waste goes off the hill and everything else gets burned.. Im tired of burning

No joke there. Every time we have people over I'm shoveling glass and tin out of my burn barrel.

I lived on the UA campus my eight and ninth grade year (84-86?). I want to remember during Homecoming week they’d burn a huge stack of pallets and wood and other flammables in the quad. My memory may be failing me but I don’t think so.


LOVE to burn trash myself. Gotta keep folks from putting plastic in fire tho. Bad fumes come from that.

I have a burn barrel, once it gets full, i empty into the dumpster then start over 🙂

been a lifelong pyro, from a long genetic line of pyros. my dad broke me of having a fireplace or even wanting to touch firewood as it was our primary heat source during the cooler months. fireplaces is where we used to burn 90% of the paper/cardboard trash growing up. not having a fireplace and my wife keeping the lights on at amazon creates a hell of a pile in a week or 2. have gone through 2 “entry level” fire pits in a year. currently looking for a sho nuff barrel to start using. usually have a good fire once every 7-10 days

I burn all paper, cardboard, and some plastics at least once a week. If it’s bad dry or windy I don’t but otherwise I do.

My uncle lived in the sticks. You burned everything including trash. He made some metal upright tubes for this. .
