I know very little about the candidates and have no desire to read the propaganda they put out there. I know Wes Kitchens has been endorsed by the AEA and is proud of it, (no school choice). That's about it. Which one will keep us farthest away from socialism?

Stacey George was a good county commissioner but stepped on a the of toes of a lot of the party big wigs in Decatur.

Stacey? That's enough info to make an informed vote.

Stacey is Crazy.
Wes is a good man, good family. I know them personally. His father is an educator and he’s done a ton to support the teachers locally. Supporting them is very important to him.

I think Brock is more conservative of the two.

Not much support for Kitchens here I see. So it's between Stacey and Brock?

Not sure where you’re looking but that’s not matching up with my experience .

My wife reached out to all the candidates about an ongoing issue that is affecting many communities. She sent the same email to all candidates. Stacey is the only one that responded. The others didn't even send a "thanks for reaching out" email. After several exchanged emails, Stacey called her yesterday and talked for an hour. Even if we hadn't agreed on the subject, which we did, him taking the time out of his day to talk to us speaks volumes. He has our vote!

Didn’t Stacey George run for governor a few years ago as a democrat?

I've met him several times. Seems like a good kid. The issue that I have with him, is that he has very little real life work experience. He can't be much over 25 years old.

I've never even heard his name mentioned, but that says a lot about him, IMO.

That’s right, I think he was a democrat growing up. I grew up in Hartselle and my mom taught in Decatur for 30 years, lived there for 5. He might have changed but I remember everyone thinking he was a nut.

Thats the general consensus on Stacy to this day.
Brock may very well prove to be conservative but with 4 months on the job we don’t know that yet.
