I got the news yesterday that my taxidermist, David Collins, passed away. Yall please be praying for the family in this difficult time. Not just for his passing, but also because of the business he had grown. We all know what buttholes people can be about a deer head. In the mean time I'm probably going to have to find someone to take mine to that he already had. If anybody knows another quality taxidermist in SE Bama please let me know. PMs are welcome.
To GOD be All the glory!!!

Sad to hear, I had used David Collins for two of my deer. I have heard of a decent taxidermist in the Ozark area. Thought about checking them out. I believe backyard cabin taxidermy.

I went up and took a class with Beards Only Taxidermy in March (was Birds Only). So I learned the latest on mounting turkeys. I helped a now retired taxidermist for a little bit Joe Earl Rogers. He was on HWY 52 in Taylor, AL for years. I helped him with deer. I’ve got 7 shoulder mounts to do. Gonna see how that goes before I start advertising a whole lot. Done many skull mounts, bobcats, small game, etc…I have a full time job, so taxidermy has been a hobby more or less, but I’m going to go semi-full blown with it in 5 years (Lord willing) when I retire from teaching. I’m located just south of Dothan, in Rehobeth for now. Will be Smith’s Taxidermy. Just putting the word out. Hate to hear that about David. He was a popular taxidermist for sure!
