I have a new neighbor that moved in about a year ago. He bought house and 2 acres from my cousin. He has about a 1/2 acre in the woods. I own everything around him on 3 sides and My cousin owns the 4th side. I found a ladder stand on his property facing my property overlooking a heavily used trail. The tree the stand is mounted on actually still has the surveyors tape on it. It is literally on the line. I am headed over there this afternoon to discuss. And what are you going to say? He can’t hunt on his own property? He can absolutely hunt his property but, it appears he's hunting mine. Maybe, which I doubt, he is unsure of the property line. I had a nice conversation with him regarding his roaming dogs last year. He put them up. He seems to be reasonable. I want to make sure he understands that he is facing my property and that the stand is on the line and I would appreciate if he would at least rotate the stand around the tree to face his 1/2 acre instead of facing my pond and property.

You have a 50/50 chance of it running the wrong way. What u gonna do when it does? That’s the only answer to your question?

Just had that same issue on a piece of public by me and the GW agreed that’s not happening. He took care of it

I am only facing our property, looking at the 200 yard fire lane, watching the deer come from, or going to our woods. I have a feed station about 150 yards up from ground blind.

Its better to avoid the temptation to shoot over anothers property by not hunting the line. Not to mention it is just good courtesy .
Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts, hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!

You better put a couple permanent stands up before he does....02 Heck why not act like you own the place... Need to plant that lane you plowed up too...absolutely its ethical for you to hunt in your little blind like that...
Did you know that Beer Nutz are over a Dollar...and Deer Nutz are under a Buck...

It’s obvious most of y’all are hunting big tracts of land in clubs or leases. I’m in one of those too. But I also own 123 acres should I just only be able to hunt in the smack center of it?? I’m hunting fairly close to a property line anywhere I go!! I turkey hunt some smaller properties. I won't knowingly walk onto someone else's property and I won't shoot onto someone else's property. But if I hear a bird gobbling on someone else's property, I'll call to him. I also have ZERO reservations about sitting ON the line, if that happens to be a good place to setup, and I'll shoot him the second his foot touches the property I'm allowed to be on. Since deer are prone to running, I'd at least have the retrieval conversation with an adjoining landowner, but for turkeys, sit on the line and shoot right down it if that's what needs to be done.
There are 3 certainties in an uncertain world:
1. All Politicians Are Liars 2. All Gun Laws Are an Infringement 3. Taxation Is Theft

I've never been a fan of hunting property lines.... too much controversy. One timber company lease I was involved with had a rule no hunting within 50yds of a property line. Knowing your boundaries makes it easier on everyone... but not everyone follows the rules written or verbal or supposedly understood.... some are just going to walk over get their deer off your land they shot and walk it back over ...it's as simple as that..
That is a stupid rule. If you have a stand 50 yards from line. Chances are you would be shooting towards the line, creating a safety hazard Put the stand right on the line and shoot back towards your own property. Of course every setup would be different

Maybe it just sounds this way to me, but if you’re looking down a fresh cut fire lane he has made to burn his property, unless he made the fire lane across ur line, you’re hunting his property. If u can keep your finger off the trigger when you see something u want to kill until it’s gets across the line, then to me you’re good to go. If not, you may be about to cause unnecessary issues. The fire lane is our property, he also has a new fire lane on his property. There is a buffer between the 2.
