Assuming a 2 oz load, tightest possible pattern potential something in the .665 to .670 range. Solid hunting pattern something in the .675 to .690 range. Every gun and load will produce different results. Start with a very clean barrel. The only way you will know for sure is on paper.

Yep. I would probably be $500 better off if I had done exactly that with the 20 ga I hunt with. 🤷‍♂️

Small TSS shot needs to "breath". Whatever puts 275 +/- 10 or so in a 10" @ 40 yards. No need shooting small shot and bunching it up in a softball size pattern , defeats the purpose .

Haha, the full is usually about .695” and generally shoots TSS good.

He’s shooting a 12 ga, should shoot a 2 oz load so 50/50 of 9s would be closer to 360 in the 10 inch

Oops , my bad , I reckon he's saying he's shooting the 12. If I were shooting a 12 with 9s , I'd shoot an open choke. 2 oz of 9s , that's a lot of pellets, may as well maximize them. I like 8s in a 12.

Thanks for the advice.. A normal full choke is .675 or .680 is what I am being told online for my gun. Do any of you have any experience with colonial chokes? From what I read they are who made the old Star Dot chokes. I cant find a Indian Creek online in anything other than .660 which I believe is too tight.

Colonial is right down the road from me. I have used several of his chokes, and all have worked fine. I use a colonial in my favorite turkey gun.

I would research and look into some of Carlson TSS Choke tubes.

I’ll second that. And the Turlock. Both make really good chokes for TSS and won’t break the bank either.
