Funny story, can’t get my wife to go “early” so we aimed for 8-11 or 12 sit. We get in the house closer to 9 and by 10:30 she’s freezing with the wind howling. Completely my fault because I don’t have windows in the house. ANYWAY I said let’s stay till 11 at least, so at 11 I said you wait here and watch for deer and I’ll walk, get the truck and put corn out and save you a trip. I walked 1/4 mile back to the truck when I hear a faint shot. Then my phone starts blowing up, buck behind me, looks like a good one, I think I missed it 😭, it just stood there after I shot and then it disappeared. These are exact quotes btw….😂 I waited 15 min to give the deer time to stand back up or maybe move again where she can see it, then I ease over there in the truck. She tells me the whole story, then I start easing out there fully expecting it to be gone or jump up in the clearcut. It never took a step! Must have shocked it and it stood there a second before it dropped. Solid 8 exactly where the killed the solid 9 two years ago. She even has pics and a video from “BEFORE” she shot the thing. Maybe the video and pics will come through ok for y’all. Gimme just a few to send them. https://imgur.com/a/q1wYSAj
