Ill start it off.
It starts when the does go into estrus, driving every buck within a 5 mile radius crazy and they start cruzin the trails during daylight hours.
Is it Hunting Season Yet?

Thanks for the reminder. When does the rut start in Macon County? Date and time would be appreciated and maybe a heat map showing the level of activity by date and area of the county would be great. I've got a map like that somewhere if I can find it.........

According to the rut map the state puts out, mine starts 2 week later than across the road?, and yes I'm serious.

IT ALL DEPENDS......the RUT is not a Finite thing in any one area year after year. In Hale county it’s the week before Christmas and they are always on Fire Christmas Day. They need to pu yellow spots on that corner of Hale, Marango and Perry county’s. Because that area ruts from Dec.16-31 then you might have an occasional cruiser.
