According to the article. "Texas wildlife officials say it's probably a house cat."

Texas wildlife officials haven't got a clue. That's no black panther but it's not a housecat either. Black leopard maybe? Look closely for the spots.

The pic at the top of the page is not the cat in question. Scroll down and it is a pic of a black critter taken from a distance.

Yeah, I saw the cat at the top and normal reasoning would lead one to believe that was it. My mistake. I should have known that any media will use every trick to sensationalize all stories for more clicks. "Believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see." Right?

Looks like a black something, but can’t tell what. When I expand it, I can’t see a mountain lion (or panther) long beefy tail.

House cat.

You can’t tell what that is in that pic unless you have the ability to enlarge and clean up photos. The pic on the site sucks when you enlarge it and just gets blurry.

Thats what i thought, but i thought Todd might could see something we cant. Looking at a black blurr and saying "thats a housecat" is just about exactly the same as saying "thats a big black cat".
