It's worth getting a 5 round mag for an AR 15 or AR 10 for sighting,( and hunting to be legal). I went back and reread the regulations and can’t find anything that limits the number of rounds your weapon can hold while hunting. I use 10roind mags in all my ARs. If I’m missing something please show me because I don’t want a citation for that if I ever get checked.

IIRC, 10 round mags are ok and why I bought a couple several years ago.
