Why are people from Alabama considering buying electric vehicles?
I'm actually not trying to stir pot this time ? Just wondering.ive seen this on other forums by people I was extremely surprised was considering
So what is the idea? Best I can ask

Are we not about pipelines coal and all that? I just don't understand? y'all tell me why country folks from Alabama are considering electric cars?
I'm all ears .I'm confused as hell and do not understand

I'll keep my ears and trying to listen first time in my life ?

Why do you think everyone needs to have a label and stick to it? What does being a country person and owning an ev have to do with each other? That type of thinking is what has politics so messed up right now. For the record, I'm from Alabama, and don't plan on owning an ev. I also don't care if my neighbor has one.

I don't think most people in Alabama that have an EV only have an EV unless they are young city folk. Most country folks have to have a fossil fuel vehicle as well to do any type of reasonable hauling or drive any reasonable distance without having to kill lots of time waiting on a recharge.

I think some will have one just for the novelty of it.

The market will determine if EV stick around. If people will buy them they’ll keep making. If they don’t they’ll stop. Ford already cut the production of some of their EV because they weren’t selling.

My question is why I see people from Alabama considering EV cars on forums including this forum

Excellent answer and what I've been hearing far as talk radio goes.ev cars getting thrown into dealerships that can't move them

If you havent noticed, people in general are into fads, the newest hottest thing. One of those new hot things right now is a electric automobile. Itll make everything better, save them a ton of money. I would be curious to see how many repeat buyers there are, or multiple electric car households. I would imagine not much of either. Sure, there will be some, there always are. But for most people, they just wont work out the way theyre being advertised. The new will wear off and most folks will go back to gas.

I’d buy one in a heartbeat

-lower cost to operate
-Easier to maintain

Would make sense for my commute

All that said, I realize it’s not doing schit for the environment. I just like the technology and I know eventually, it’ll be king, it’s only a matter of time.

Quit putting words in my mouth. I am more invested in oil than most. I spend a lot of my time in the Little Cedar Oil Field in Alabama. I'm for coal fired power, hydro power, nuclear, and wind of you can make it work. I operate heavy machinery and cringe at the thought of trying to charge an excavator in the middle of the day on a job. I think def is complete horse s#@t. All that being said, I don't care if someone else chooses to live their life differently than mine. As long as my neighbors political, religious, or cultural beliefs don't infringe on mine or my children's, then what do I care if they drive an ev?

So - instead of listening, you decide to chime in on every response and if people don't agree with your preconceived idea - you decide to deride them.
