Some of these companies I think are out scamming. A friend of mine had a company come in and convince their older father to pave his drive way. He paid them several thousand maybe even 10k to do the job. They did it and left. About 3 months later most of the asphalt had either washed away or been pushed into the sand below. They used the old " finishing a job on a hwy nearby and have some materials left over, can cut you a great deal" line.

Pulling up on someone's property honking your horn is a hell of a way to drum up business. More likely to drum up a call to the law.

Two things:

1. If the driver is too lazy to get out and knock on the door then they don’t need to stop at my house.

2. If their business is so slow that they’re having to solicit customers then they may not be the best in the industry.

Either way I wouldn’t be interested.

I’ve always heard of paving company scams for years. I would be leary as well and want to know who it is. I had a guy several years ago come by wanting to pave my drive. I didn’t get a good feel from him. Best description I could give would be like a New York Italian mobster appearance

It is E&H paving. 888 area code on truck but I really think that is a toll free prefix. Just seen them on the side of the road on turnpike back behind the airport in Albertville close to Lakeview Circle they were unloading equipment

I called EH yesterday..i asked the lady if they had anybody in the area giving free quotes..i kid you not..her answer was.. “ i can take a message” an she repeated that as her only answer to ever question i had..then i told her i didn’t appreciate them rollin up and honkin..her then ribotic repetitive answer was.. “ is there anything else i can help you with” only words i got out of the girl were those two canned lines..i would have thought it a recording if i couldnt hear her breathing and people talking in the background..it was super weird..she has been told not to give any information to anybody questioning them apparently…they dont need to come back to my house.
