Anyone ever have any success calling bucks with these? Got one of these from a dirty Santa a week ago and was wondering if they are any good or a waste of time. The one I won is a Flextone Battle Bag Plus Deer Call.

That's the one I have and I carry with me since it is small and compact. It sounds good. I give it a whirl on occasion, when (I guess?) the time is right. I've never had a deer come in to rattling - to my knowledge - with the rattle bag or with actual antlers, but I'll keep carrying it in my bag. Reckon it might work eventually lol. I know folks have had great success rattling but so far for me, nothing.

I have an old one that has the different size sticks in the bag, I can honestly say I have had deer to blow at me on several occasions when I used it....never called anything in to it....

Never had any luck with them. Prolly works like a charm in Ohio, Kansas and Missouri.

I’ll say this and take it for what it’s worth. While hunting in KS I could pick a rattle bag out 100% of the time when someone else would use one. If I can tell the difference I know a deer can too. It was noticeably distinct from real antlers at a distance.

Antlers, from the ground, banging brush and stuff around. Just think of what all goes on during a fight, you want to mimic that as much as possible

I called in a lot of young bucks and does with mine when I bow hunted all the time. I would always waited until I was ready to get down in the morning 9-10 AM and rattle. I have rattled in more curious does then bucks.

Update..... small 6-point came in about 80 yards away from me, wasn't going to shoot it so I decided to try out the bag and see what would happen. I rattled it for about 15 seconds in about 2-second intervals and scared the deer off almost instantly... think I'm just going to tuck it in the back of my bag and forget about it.
