Pump says it may place a hold on your card above the actual amount of gas you pump. Went to fill up yesterday. Knew I had around $50 on the debit card. Scanned the card but pump didn't turn on. Was trying to figure out what was wrong. Slip came out Card declined. So I recheck my account. They hit me with $101 gas bill and never pumped a drop. Put my account into overdrawn status. So I transferred money into it and filled up which they billed me for instantly. This morning the money was back in my account. 💁♂️

I absolutely DESPISE Circle K stores. They ruin every store they take over..... They have replaced several Shell gas stations with Circle K over in Baldwin County. I prefer to use Shell gasoline so I am no fan of the take over.

Yup, they will charge you over so that they know they got you. It makes charge backs more difficult for the customer.

I prefer to use Shell gasoline so I am no fan of the take over. Yeah took over Chevron by shop several years ago and they kilt the fine breakfast they used to serve, and they went up on everything. Hell they wanted $ 4 dollar more a pack for the cigars i smoked at the time, when ya could literally walk right across the rd and get em smh. They took all the Purple Cows ( around here anyways) and done gone and f@%%@ the up too!

I got in a deal like that in NM . The card reader wasn't working at the pump , so they charged me up front more than I needed then after I pumped he credited my card and put in the correct amount. I kept all receipts and checked it on my on-line banking and it was correct when all done. Sounded a little tricky , but just turned out to be a hassle that could have been avoided .

Circle K SUCKS:
- they took over a perfectly nice Kangaroo store near us and ruined it
- completely nasty
- workers suck
- place is a wreck
- gas pump speakers blare commercials at you at ridiculous volume
- gas pump makes you decline stupid membership clubs and other crap before you actually pump gas
- bags of ice are half the size they used to be and are priced awful, make it a non-option for ice
There's probably more I'm forgetting.

It declines the card every single time. Don’t know if the company has some way to keep them from charging extra like that and that’s what causes the problem or what.
