Thought I’d give a shout out to the linemen from APC and Pike Energy. My area of Birmingham got smacked pretty good on Saturday night. Storm took out lots of trees, power lines and poles. Been seeing 20-30 trucks power trucks each time I leave the house for the past two days. Coming home tonight about 10:00 from picking up my daughter and passed about 10 trucks putting up new poles. The guys looked cold but they were getting it done. Got to be tough work.

What’s bad is they are cold and tired. Usually work 18 hrs or more in these situations sometimes basically working 30 plus hrs with little to no sleep.

Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

I owe a great debt to APC and their crews when the tornadoes passed through our area in 2011. When the shucks hits the fan, they are ROCK SOLID!!!! I have NEVER had an issue with APC’s service.

Like an old man I knew used to say. Everyone wants to bitch when you see six to eight of them setting a pole or when we get the bill. But no one complains when they are out in a storm and bad weather trying to get power restored

well i am going to have to say this those guys do work hard but are paid well the toughest job around my area is the two guys that hang on the back of a trash truck in the rain, cold, heat and most of all smell! we put our trash cans out by the road and every tuesday morning they will get the trash sometimes before daylight. i know picking up garbage is not as important as electricity but it is done everyday somewhere 👏

I am drinking from my saucer cause my cup has overflowed. Thank you Lord

My FIL was one. Retire now. They are a tough hard working breed and they take a lot of guff from entitled people while doing their work.

I may get tarred and feathered for this but I have never understood why people glorify people for doing a job they signed up for.

I love the rut. The woods are like a bunch of roided up meatheads fighting over a girl.

BB….That’s a big slap in the face for those that protect this country every day. They signed up for that as well.
