I believe there more problems than with just USPS down there. Every item that we had go thru Montgomery UPS for Christmas disappeared.

I really have another problem that has really peeded me off. I have 4 post offices in my vicinity and a mail carrier that deliverers my mail. A total of maybe 12 folks and not 1 of them are white. This is discrimination on the highest level.

Exactly with Atlanta too, Happened to us.

I’m sure the postal inspectors are good at their job and I never said that they weren’t. I know for a fact that the local FBI does a damn good job. My line of thinking is if the majority of the stealing is being done in house, so you think that the postal workers would fear the postal inspectors.

What happened at the Montgomery area office for its credibility to be in question?

Sounds like to change this is to turn a few employees or plant a few to break the corruption up and clean house.

Historically, the Postal Inspection Service exceeds a 98-percent conviction rate for all persons who go to trial. The FBI has just a bit over 89%.

Dang right they would fear them. Their worst nightmare is doing wrong and the Postal Inspectors investigating it. In my opinion, the thievery is because the workers can get by with so many little things because of their Union, or Merit System or whatever it is, they tend to think they are untouchable and they are until they cross the line.

Then what’s taking the postal inspectors so long to make an arrest? I got news for y’all. This has been happening for years in the Montgomery area and has happened to many people that I know. I’m talking big money checks being stolen and washed. And it all points to one location.

This morning I’m going to go to the Opelika post office.
I’ve got a bone to pick with them.

That P.O. probably has one of the highest complaint rates in the country. I have distributors who will not send me anything through USPS anymore. They just stopped trying and refuse to send anything to anybody if it goes through the Montgomery PO. Some of the folks I do business with in Montgomery just ask me if I can drop the correspondence by their office, even if its next week late because its more of a guarantee than trying to count on the USPS.

My item in question I elected to put $2,000 of insurance on.
Looks like Uncle Sam might possibly be scratchin this homie a $2,000 check.

Just about anything that has insurance posted on it is more likely to be stolen at that PO than anything else. For them, seeing that insurance flag means "take me".

We just had to close and re-open our checking accounts at the request of our banks. The reason they gave was the routing and account numbers on business checks were being scanned on checks coming through one of the Birmingham post offices. For the time being, we are hand delivering local checks. For bills that where the vendor sends an envelope with the bill, we are discarding their envelope and putting the bill and payment in a plain envelope. Where we can, we are paying by wire. A lot of hassle for a thief.

They’ve made several arrest in the case both internal and external. The external had to do with mostly checks, and check washing. Of course if there was anything good they probably took that too.
