Anybody know where they might be raking any right now? Buddy of mine's place near Sardis finished up before I could get down there. I need about 150 bales, so trying to save a little bit of money. I know I can go to lowes, etc but I would much rather buy it from a landowner wholesale. I live in Birmingham, but don't mind traveling if needed

The best pine straw is either longleaf or slash. Don't know how much of it is grown from Montgomery north.

Hoffman and Dan Rhyne used to sell some. Look for Benton Farms in Benton (hwy 80 between Selma and Mtgy). They used to bale quite a bit I thought

Every since I was a kid, we raked our own.
Unless you NEED bales, find someone with pines in their yard and have at it.

If your willing to rake it you can have all you can take from my farm in Maplesville. Its easy access to the road, pines have been thinned. If you want to come and get it you would have to do it quick I am scheduled for a burn, the forester is just waiting for the right wind to keep the smoke off highway 82.

The boy scouts in Chelsea are selling it. They have a tractor trailer full of it AR the Shell station down here. I believe they will deliver it too. Buying from them will help a good cause.
