As the title states, I'm looking to purchase a gsp pup. My wife's Yorkie-poo past away after 17 years, and our daughters (6 & 9 yrs old) are nagging me for a puppy. I've always wanted a bird dog,but also want a good family dog. We live on an acre,so feel like I've got the land for it. Would also like to incorporate some blood trailing and possible dove/quail hunting with him down the road. Can any of you guys recommend a good breeder that isn't multiple thousands of dollars for a dog. Would like to stay around the 1k dollar range but would stretch it to 1500 for the right dog. Also, know a few of you guys have gsp's ,so I welcome any recommendations or tips. Thanks in advance.

I’ve got one that’s just a pet and he’s really smart, really hyper and chasing squirrels and birds most of the day! He’s actually caught a couple squirrels. Great with the kids

David Holt at Spin Top kennels. He breeds fantastic puppies in the GSP, WPG and Boykin breeds. Incredibly easy to train and very affordable My GSP is from Spin Top, great dog. Mr. Holt is a super nice guy and has a wonderful setup. GSPs are WAO, need plenty of room to run and need a job or else they are up to something that may or may not be good. Mine stays in hunt mode except when she is asleep.
We are not perfect, only forgiven!!!
