I am not sure that I believe that our production is at "record new highs" lately.

I do believe that they are using out of the strategic reserves we have and that it is very low.

I believe that it may continue to be done to keep prices lower until the election and then depending on who is in office will go up again and there will be little to no reserves left.

All I know is they aren't mining fracking sand near me anymore. Completely shut down with no activity for 2 years. Been great for my hunting, so I'm not complaining.

These people know that the rank and file is hurting due to their BS policies and an election is coming up. In the past several decades every time some arab farted gas prices soared, yet we have war in the middle east and europe and somehow fuel prices are low. They are keeping the prices down until after the election because they know that the landslide defeat they are potentially facing could be beyond their capacity to cheat.

This is a regular election cycle ploy of the Dems to get gas prices lower so they can say “look what we did”

I did a little more research and credit is being given to higher effeciency. There aren't many more wells but they are concentrating on the best oil fields and boring deeper so the wells are producing more.

They are floating the market by using the strategic oil reserves.

Probably just trying to replace what they used to drain strategic reserves to get the price down awhile back.

Oil production is up from the time Biden cut production to the time inflation exploded and an election began looming. Its nowhere close to where it was under Trump or even Obama for that matter.
Just the same as how they say inflation has improved because its a tad lower than it was 6 months ago, but its still high as heck.
