Try sorghum and cow pea’s maybe throw in some sun hemp. I wish I could still grow peas but too many deer and too small greenfields.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

I’d forget corn unless you have a dedicated field of 7-10 acres minimum. Otherwise it’s gone before season comes in and misses the summer stress period.
Jointvetch as mentioned earlier would be good. A blend with sorghum,ic peas, sun hemp, buckwheat and sunflowers will produce for a while, but you basically have zero weed control options.
"Cull" is just another four letter word...

WMS pea patch is a real good mix and it provides so much summer tonnage. Only problem is planting it in smaller plots. I planted a 7 acre patch of it and it never got over 3 inches. I'm sure I've got way more deer than the average land though.

I'm sure I've got way more deer than the average land though. Yeah it would seem so. Lol. I’ve planted a few plots in it from 2-10 acres in moderate deer densities and it did very well.

RR Soybeans. Easiest thing to grow, because of the weed control option. Unless you want to plant Alfalfa.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
