And somebody took the back straps. Looks like it might have been poached.

If it was poached and they took the time to take the back straps, why not cape it out or at least cut the head off? Lol

Dang. What a terrible way for that deer to go. If it’s legit, I’d be sick if I had been hunting him.

Looks like some of them bucks from over in the mountains of Pelham.... laugh popcorn

Actually it looks like it was being capped out because it’s strung up in a tree.

I had an 8 year old buck that was a beast I hunted many years ago, got smoked by an 85 yr old woman at night in the highway chasing a doe. 😂

My grandad hit one, had it mounted. 18wheeler got one and not sure what got the other but I got the horns to all 3… guess that happens when all I had to hunt growing up was small tracts located on the state highway

That’s crazy that an 85 year old woman was chasing a doe at night, but good for her!
Sad that she hit a big deer while she was chasing the doe around.

the meat looks more like it's been chewed out than cut out. . must have really hungry poachers. no way a poacher would have left that head there.

Dang that sux. I was hunting west of Hamilton right off the interstate on a lease once and heard the 10pt I was hunting get smoked by an 18 wheeler right at daylight. That was just a decent 10 and I was sick. Cant imagine if he looked like that.

I know an old guy that hit quite a few bucks on the side of the road. He'd go through the ditch taking out mailboxes trying to clip them. You didn't wanna ride with big L this time of the year.
