I've bought from zennioptical.com for years. Always been very happy. This. $50 or less for prescription glasses. Just need your pupillary distance.

I have bought from Eye buy direct and its been a good experience. However, if you don't know what fits you exactly, you are better off to buy local. I got a pair of raybans at Walmart this year, out the door with my prescription and no line progressive, they were about $600. You know what? They stay on my face, which has been one of the biggest hassles I have run into buying online.
They even stay on my face doing planks at the gym. If you want a step up in quality from the lower end online glasses, check out Roka. I've had their regular and sunglasses, and they are great. You cannot shake them off your face. Just under $300 for a quality pair of polarized prescription sunglasses, less for regular glasses. I've also bought Warby Parker and been pleased, and just bought a pair of cheap Zenni polarized sunglasses and am happy with them as well. Zenni will send you a PD measuring device, or you do it with a camera online. And, once you know your PD, you know it. Sizing is pretty easy too, just learn the meaning of the numbers on a pair of glasses you already have that fit well, and you can make a pretty good guess about what will fit you online. And Warby Parker and I think Roka will send you samples of several pairs to try before you buy.

I'm on my 3rd pair from Zenni. Hard to beat, IMO.

Same here. Eye buy has been great until I went to trifocals. Now in person only

It’s a crap shoot. You may supremely happy or pissed. I’ve seen both. Single vision usually isn’t a problem. Progressives have to be measured within mm of tolerance or it’s a bust. Throw in progressive sunglasses, especially the wrap kind, can be real dicey.

I am really thinking about going to contacts, with no distance correction. I can see well enough without glasses, I just can't see close up. I have transition lenses too, but those are useless in a vehicle. Not to mention glasses come off using bino's while hunting and I cannot see crap in the woods in the dark with glasses on. You can’t wear contacts for just reading unless you just wear 1 contact in the non dominant eye to see up close and use the dominant eye for distance. OR you can wear multifocal contacts in both eyes to allow for distance and near vision. There is no perfect solution in contacts for near. You will give up a little distance vision for the convenience of not having to put readers on all the time. It’s a compromise. I just pack my readers when I hunt and wear really weak contacts to improve my distance vision.

I just pack my readers when I hunt and wear really weak contacts to improve my distance vision. I have mono vision contacts, but I can't see well enough up close with them. I tried the "progressive" contacts, and could see amazing up close, but nothing worth a flip at distance. All this makes hunting a challenge. I take bino's, but need glasses off for those. I can't read my phone without glasses. I can adjust a scope to work either way, but if I have the scope set up for glasses, and then I am taking a shot with the glasses off, which I did saturday, the scope is blurry. If scope is set up for eyes only, then thru glasses I see double crosshairs. I hate wearing glasses in the woods in the dark or at dusk even. I just can't see anything. I have Nikon lenses too. Not like these are cheap $50 glasses.

Not like these are cheap $50 glasses. Sounds about right. Ask your doc to give you just distance contacts. You will lose all the near vision but for hunting you are more concerned with distance anyway. Just get some half-eye readers to put on over the contacts to check phone, ect. You might need to adjust the crosshairs to make them sharp. Just all depends on how much blur you have at distance when not wearing any correction. I wear -0.75 in both eyes to hunt. It’s a real low power but is a game changer for me.

What Benji said. That’s why he’s my optometrist. I wear progressive’s everyday except when I hunt or fish. Then I wear the 0.75 contacts and keep readers to check my phone. The contacts work great looking through your scope or binoculars but not so much trying to tie ballyhoo rigs doing 50 knots. It’s give and take.
