I’ve never wanted one because of the black and I imagine it gets pretty warm. Anyone ever had luck painting one?

You can easily paint one. Paint adheres to that matte finish well. I actually like the fact they’re blacked because you do stay warm on a crisp clear morning out of the wind.

I like that it soaks up the sun and heats it up. During bow season I’m in a ladder or climber. Gun season I appreciate the extra warmth.

I have 3. They do get warm but it's nice when winter finally arrives. I'm amazed at how noisy they are inside but, the deer don't hear all the noise, even when they are 5- 10 yrds away from it.

I have 2 of them, and I'm happy with them in the original color.

You can make them quiet with carpet and felt strips

When they leak and the carpet in the bottom gets soaked then it gets warm that's the best. I hats sportsman condos. We still have 1 and it stays wet and gross. Finally pulled the carpet and just drilled holes in the floor so the water can just run through

I love mine that I got from you, carpet makes a huge difference, what about the felt strips? Not sure how to go about that…

If at first you dont succeed, You may not want to try parachuting

I think most people do that. It takes 2 seconds with a drill.

For the price and durability they’re pretty dang good.

Yep this. Had standing water as my older model doesn’t have the windows. Water drains with the holes. Works great

Never had a water problem in any of them.

Felt tabs on the windows and hinges quieten them down a lot.

Water means mold and mildew. I don’t know how it affects others, but I get down right bronchial and stay that way for 2-3 days if I’m around mold and mildew. No way I’d intentionally sit in it inside a shooting house.

Weather stripping would solve that and make them quieter.

Don't level them. Mine are set up sloped about an inch away from the door and I've never had a drop of water.

Must have gotten lucky with my 4. 3 of them are SC3’s and the windows open inside. Wish the newest 4th one an SC2 did but had no water from the recent rains here in Evergreen. Hinges were noisy what did u do for that with the strips??
