For most of Ala. it looks like we will finally get rain this weekend and into next week. I over seeded out food plots that we planted the second week of Sept. Monday.
It cost to do that, but I hope it will pay off. We had some clover that had come up, but not much else. I planted WMS Deer Magnant. both times.

I know our club isn't the only one that had to do this and we all need rain.

I might top seed with wheat this weekend. Have always used rye grain, but can't find any right now.

We planted in front of the last big rain in early October. Our fields popped and seem to be holding on. If I had a choice in the matter we wouldn’t plant until the first of November every year.

I just hit my fields w some left over clover yesterday - think we get multiple rains n next 10 days

Got one more i may hit tomorrow

And i made a new field off a logging ramp Saturday - n a good area on heart of property where my worst turkey frequents

PLanted that rain early oct and havent had any since. Our fields are decimated. I loaded up everything last night and will plant in the dark tonight. Hopefully we get a good soaking
