So what do you do if you run out of juice on the water? Get towed to the nearest wind turbine? With a normal gas machine you call or signal another boat to bring you more gas.

Same concept..... You can't pull up, fill up and keep fishing. Completely stupid IMO.
The hull design looks stupid as well squared off nose and vertical sides = wet ass ride
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

I understand that there are some cases where an electric vehicle makes sense (or at least doesn’t not make sense……but some of these idiots are cutting their nose off to spite their face. Going offshore I’ll-prepared isn’t just stupid, it’s dangerous and can be deadly. Anyone who goes offshore is a Darwin Award winner in the making

Eelex 8000 is built for high performance with a responsive drivetrain and a hull optimized for low resistance and maximum hull efficiency. With a 170 kW motor and a 126 kWh battery capacity, it will reach a speed of 30+ knots with a cruising speed of 20 knots and a range of 100 NM....An electric boat produces zero exhaust emissions, so it causes zero pollution in the air and water when out at sea. Which is great for the environment, and it also lets you breathe in the fresh ocean air instead of fumes. The emissions caused by the production of the electricity used to charge your boat will vary depending on what type of electricity it is. Renewable electricity sources, such as solar, wind and hydropower, produce minimal carbon emissions. If charged with the EU electricity mix, Eelex 8000 saves approximately 2 metric tons of CO2 emissions during a typical season of 50 hours on the water, compared to a high-performance ICE boat. Which is equivalent to approximately 80 trees planted.....

That’s gonna be a firm no thank you from this guy. Let me know when they can make one of those gee-whiz wonder boats replicate the sound and rush of twin turbo diesels spooling up to get on plane.

I bet that’ll put me out of business very soon LOL Something tells me you'd better hold your breath on that one if you're wanting to retire early. That range of 100NM listed above is most likely like the estimated ranges for EV trucks and cars, absolute best case, 40 mph tail wind, not pulling anything, only one person in the vehicle, perfectly flat road. For the boat, glass calm, completely unloaded, driver only, etc. Load it down with people and put it in 2-3 foot seas running into a 20 mph headwind and that 100NM probably becomes 50NM at best.

Battery goes bad, drop $120 bucks and you're fully powered up for another 3 yrs. I bet replacing the batteries in that boat above is probably $75-$100K. Wonder how long they will last?
