Anyone have a copy or a link to buy the plans? Wife and I want to build a 12 x 20 cabin with a loft/bunk to sleep for the grandkids to stay in. Off-grid, no electric, wood stove, small front porch, more of a glorified shed really. It'll be in a hard-to-get-to spot (wooded and uphill), so no one can just drive up to a piece of land and slide it off a trailer. I'll probably be building it myself. Just a little cabin to get together for a weekend or whatever. Thanks.

I have a complete 2 car garage plan from these guys and it is amazingly detailed. It has all the members sized, complete framing details, bill of materials, etc... Here's a 16'x24' cabin plan with a loft from them that would be great for what you wanted, and it's only $269. I have drawn house plans for people and there's NO WAY I would design anything like this for that cheap. This is a link to the free cabin plan. I watch em. Ol' Shawn James's new build is fine, heck I'd love to have the old one, would especially enjoy the cooking area.

If y'all like Shawn you should check out Erik Grankvist. He's a Swedish guy building an off grid log home somewhere near the Sweden Norway border and is a hell of a self taught craftsman. Buy you a 275 gallon tote, collect rainwater from the roof (Use tin on the roof instead of asphalt), use a solar panel to charge a 12v deep cycle battery, use the battery to power a 12v pressure activated pump, add chlorine to the tank, test the water and used a filtration system and you have a very simple off grid water system. We used that exact same system while we were staying up here on the weekends in our mini-cabin while we built our main cabin.

Similar setup I have for my camper and will at some point have for my cabin. Generator will also run for 13h on a tank of gas and run the AC when it's hot.

My son has an off grid cabin like this. 12 volt power, catches water off the roof in a tote, for shower and sink, runs it through a filter. Wood stove and a small AC that he can run with a generator. 20x 40 with a 20x20 loft. We didn't have a plan, just an idea.

I’m nearly complete with an on grid cabin at the camp. Get you one of these and go around ALL of the framing and seal it up. Mash here
