I been seeing more and more clips of car jacking or stomping windows out of vehicles. When can you take action against this? After they drag you out of vehicle or while there in process of destroying your automobile? I'm not trying to start anything bad. Just curious how the law reads on this situation . #1 According to Aldeer, you live in Dothan, so for starters not a strong likelihood that happens in your area. #2 That’s a question for an attorney, NOT law enforcement. #3 Steer clear of rough areas, protests/riots and leave plenty of room between yourself and the vehicle in front of you.

Some people who work for themselves providing a service for the public find themselves in bad places, if for nothing but to drive through to get to a job. Not everyone can do the same routine every day. I have a vision of stopping at a red light and someone walks up and tries to drag me out. They will get shot it the face. I will deal with repercussions later. The Lord will forgive me. Same here. I have to travel in and through some rough hoods when working on survey projects.

You might be correct about #2 and #3 but you are way, way off about the Dothan/Houston County area. This years per cap. Dothan is running way ahead on murders of most other places in Alabama.

Hoodrat #1 gunning down Hoodrat #2&3, ya sure, not surprising and that’s typically very contained to certain streets/apartment complexes. Hoodrat #1 pulling a white construction dude out of a truck in Dothan, “so for starters not a strong likelihood that happens in your area.”

Dothan is pretty rough and there has been an uptick in crime and shooting big time. Even in the smaller towns around it. The streets are flooded with fentanyl.
But to answer your question, it's the point we're a reasonable person can articulate that they felt their live was in danger of death or great bodily harm.
For without victory, there is no survival

I remember a hood rat jumping on a certain someone’s hood then trying to bash out his window with his feet. Different state little north of here and he almost caught a bullet before being flipped off the roof in reverse. Cops told him he’d have been justified to splatter him.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

The answer is the same as it always is on Aldeer or anywhere that knows what they are talking about. Simply, do what you have to do when you fear for your life or the life of another. It will save you a lot of trouble if a "reasonable" person would feel the same way. Whenever there is a shooting with a claim of self defense the police will be looking for a reason to arrest you. It's not personal, just their job. They are not there to clear you, they are tnere to make sure there isn't two sides to the story and you made sure only one of you is around to tell it.
Absolute bulldoodoo.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Much of it will depend on who you are, who the dead guy is, what you were doing before the shooting, what the dead guy was doing before the shooting, the politics of your local DA, the politics of the people that got nothing better to do than serve on the grand jury, and ultimately the sensibilities of your jury.
You should always expect to at least have your case presented to the grand jury in any shooting.
Naw. Except the grand jury part.
