Mines not due to lack of trying boys…at camp this weekend in Mentone Al. Will be ramping it up soon.

As the old timers say “the switch is about to flip” any day now. Gonna be hunting hard in January. Jan 2-3. 7-9. 13-18. 23-29. I will be in the woods. Going to try and kill one more doe and then I’ll be buck hunting.

Except for a few scrubs, all my bucks are MIA

About to hit it hard on public land. Will be shooting the first legal buck I see. should be getting good here soon.

The past 3 days on public land have been tough for me saw a total of 3 does in 3 days. Going back to work tonight through Friday. I'll be back after them Saturday-Wednesday. I hope the cold front gets em moving.

Coming back from camp…didn’t even see a deer from the stand. Hunted hard and place hadn’t been hunted all season. It sucked

Been out a good bit the past week. Saw some great bucks chasing on the neighbor's lease but it's been nothing but does for me. Hopefully this week is the one..

I'm sorry that I have not checked in lately. Just been super busy this year with life, work, and trying to hunt a little.

Hunting...been my worst year in a long time. Got lots of hours in but haven't seen anything at all worthy of pulling the trigger on.

Can't even locate a doe big enough to shoot and I have 3 different properties that I hunt.

Things finally changed this afternoon somewhat for the better. Was able to kill a 9 point here at my own farm this afternoon. By far, just an average buck but was glad to kill the first one of the year for me.

Would not have shot him on my other two properties but I have a sad deal here at my place. It's either shoot or my neighbor kills every one I let walk. You all know the type situation.

I'll try to get a few PICS posted tomorrow. Y'all keep at it. I will be.

Got a big doe also yesterday that I had intended on killing during ML season.

She had a broken left front leg that did not bend.

Yesterday was the first time I have seen her since ML season.

I'll try my best to get them both logged up on the kill thread later today.

Both are recorded now.

not looking great for me guys I've got for days left that I'll be able to hunt. Im not giving up yet but this time last year I had 2 buck tags field.

Congrats cuz! Yep I’m here at camp in shooting house now…terrible weather. This is my last weekend deer hunting as I’m working next weekend. I’ve been a dead weight this year so I apologize. It wasn’t from lack of trying though.

Finally got a good one. Been hunting hard for the past couple of weeks. Pulled one of my cameras Friday and when going through the pics saw him for the first time ever on this property. Headed out at 4 after letting the cows out on the rye and he hopped the fence to check a scrape at 5:30....







Not a giant by any means, but not a bad one at all for Mobile county

Guys I hunted hard this year I just couldn't cash it in. Missing that big 8 was the only opportunity I had at a nice buck. I haven't seen a deer at my place in south bama while in the stand this year which is a first in many years. Of course my wife and I get out at dark when I get a pic of the big 9 I was hunting with a doe in the field we were on an hour later. I am sorry I didn't pull my weight this year. Maybe my luck will change during turkey season Lord willing! I had a blast again in this competetion and had fun chatting with y'all!

Well fellows I just got an invite to go hunt my buddys lease Thursday. They have multiple 1 sided bucks they want shot and they have about 4 shooters on camera so I still may have a chance. I’m also gonna go on public land February 7 and 8th. I’d really like to contribute to the team score but I don’t have high hopes
