What's your preference? Experiences?

Tape..
If equipped with electric windows I have had them react to the slightest resistance .

I have the WeatherTech in channel type on my Corolla. No issues for over 2 years. My only other set I had were a set of the tape on kind on a truck. I accidently broke one and getting that tape off was a bitch.

AVS In-channel in 2 different trucks with no issues at all (other than one breaking when it was hit by a limb when driving into our camp.

I don't remember what brand it was but a friend of mine had tape on visors and one broke. When he pulled it off to replace it, he like to have never gotten the tape off. Also heard of them being ripped off in car washes. Stopped at a local car wash and the guy working asked me if they were taped on and said they couldn't be held responsible if they were ripped off by the car wash

Yep! Me too.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

The only thing I've seen on the in-channel ones is that if you're in a lot of dust regularly, the tops of the windows get scratched up where they go into the window visor. Ditto on the getting the tape off if you have to replace one.

experience is a freakin' awesome teacher....

channel for sure. I didnt have good luck with the AVS, they warped and looked terrible. Ripped them out and went with EGR. Much better and no issues.

I have tape on. When I bought them I asked about in channel and they advised against that saying they have a tendency to come loose.

We had channel on the Mercedes. It would roll the window all the way up but it would think something was caught in the window and roll back down a few inches every time. I had to roll them up slowly with the switch to get them to stay up.
