At least the bands left without the director being tazed. Well Played Sir!
I love the rut. The woods are like a bunch of roided up meatheads fighting over a girl.

I officiate HS football and I believe that the kids now are just doing what they want. Most of the the kids just play football but there are some that want to argue every call because thats what they see their coaches doing. I have no problem explaining to a coach why or why we didnt call something. but every play there is likely a call that could get called. I had one the other night that was a tripping call, While marking off the foul one of the kids yelled out what kind of BS officiating is this? I casually spotted the ball down and popped my flag and said this kind. Im not gonna take being cussed by a 16yo kid. What was so bad one of his teammates was snatching him up as he yelled it. I told that kid thanks but the damage was already done. They have to learn consequences. Another time a kid looked at me and said ya'll f-ing suck to which i threw my flag and said buddy im not the one letting that guard pancake me every play.

I will say as an official I do my best to let them play, I give them plenty of hints of hey watch them hands they are getting a little grabby or hey watch your guy over there he's getting chippy, which is a precursor for hes about to get a flag. most of the coaches know when I throw it, its cause theyve no heeded my advice.

I’m with GG until those teachers and administrators are punishing my kid for putting a bully in his place, talking about his Jesus at school, and standing up for what’s right. Everyone acts like it’s the 30-40 year old parents fault, and to an extent I agree with that. But who raised those people? What age parents where there back when they took prayer and the pledge of allegiance off the loud speaker and 7:55am before class. I’m not posting to argue with GobbleGrunts post bc I believe he and I have the same mindset on what’s going on, I’m just saying everyone needs a reality check. Me included. Yes the kids needed the punishment. They have 4 quarters to beat the heck out of each other legally, but I bet you couldn’t hear a pad pop on any play. I'm sure we are on the same/or similar pages Ridge Life...To your question about who raised the younger parents???? Great question!!!...The same parents who raised me are the same parents who raised my sister. I'm 45 and she is 43. She is not the same parent as I am. We are totally opposite. She's coming along a little more now that her boys are entering teenage years, but I couldn't believe she was my sister for a while (because her parenting style was so different than mine despite only being 2 years younger than me). My ex-wife is just like my sister. She's 43 and has been a nightmare to deal with our sons together. Complete opposite parents with disciplining and interacting with the kids. So what did my sister, ex-wife, and the like miss that I didn't? Or vice versa...although I don't believe it's vice versa.

GG is right! Maybe the pendulum has as far as it is going to go on the soft side and now we can start moving it back toward hard nosed again and men and boys will act masculine but with respect at the same time. Masculinity and respectfulness are not mutually exclusive. In fact, many would say they intertwine as far as men go.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Why not just boot the guilty parties if there's video evidence? Because the video does not just show the full extent of the number of people involved. These high school ball game fights start when the social media chatter begins about a week before the game.

Cancel all of them as far as I’m concerned. The attitudes I see from peewee football all the way up to NFL has turned me completely off of the game.

Don't I remember an ALDEER member having issues with Headland during a travel/all-star baseball or softball game earlier this year? We played in Headland. It was Ashford who was the problem, which is from a few miles away. It was awful. Not surprising, I graduated from ashford and fighting was a part of every day life. In the spring, racial tensions always seemed to kick up.
