Your main problem will be keeping the oaks and hardwoods. Escort works pretty well on it and you can use in pines, but oaks don’t like the higher rates needed. Tordon/Method are great, but the pines will croak and some oak species also. You may take a look at Transline. It controls kudzu fairly well and a lot of tree species can tolerate it, although it will curl the leaves.
If you do the things you need to do when you need to do them then someday you can do the things you want to do when you want to do them.
