if you go to the Fed-ex store in Hoover you can readily see what wrong with them. Bunch of wacko looking folks wandering around doing nothing as you wait.

I ordered a $25 item last Saturday from Brownells and paid extra for 2 day delivery. It has been at their Madison facility since Wednesday morning and tracking has shown it out for delivery since Wednesday.

Still don't have it and now tracking shows a delivery exception as of 1:00 pm today.

Just got off the phone with 'Dan' in customer service, which is obviously in India and offers no service. Got tired of cussing 'Dan' after a few minutes and hung up.

Since Saturday I have ordered 4 other packages from Amazon and another retailer with standard delivery. I have received all of those packages.

The same thing happened the last time something was shipped to me via Fedex about 3 years ago and I swore I wouldn't use them again. Should have listened to myself. loco

Maybe the reason UPS pays more is because they are held to a higher standard, definitely a different class of workers.

Much higher standard. That’s why our doors aren’t getting beat down by fedx drivers wanting a job. My DIL owns a shop and one of her suppliers ships fedx. They pull in parking lot with her pkg on truck and leave. But the drivers don’t work for fedx. They work for some contractor who owns several fedx routes. You get what you pay for

I went to take the garbage out a couple days ago and found an envelope package (8”x11” size) laying behind the garbage can at the base of the gutter downspout that Fedex had left laying there. Never would have seen it had I not gone to the garbage can. Pitiful service.

Fedex went to crap when they started contracting routes out. I used to consider them the best, now they suck more than most.

Hell, I'm having more problems with UPS than I've had in years. Missed another delivery yesterday. Never even ran out my way. It is very unusual for them. USPS doesn't run 1-2 times a week now as a regular thing. Post man says they are short handed and have employees from out of town trying to cover and still are short. I have plenty of room in my mailbox but the soft package I got yesterday(USPS) was laying on the side of the road under the mailbox. Whatever.

Yep, and UPS is much harder on packages than the other carriers.

Half the time, my packages from UPS look like they drug it behind the truck for the last mile.

They did the same thing here. Left it laying by the garbage can, which is about 200 yards form my house. It's a very rural area too.

My wife had a overnight delivery for a copy of her birth certificate that she had to have asap. UPS somehow snuck by our front door ring cam to deliver a package and stuck the unable to deliver sticky note on the box they threw on the front porch I was home just to sign for the birth cert they never rang the bell or anything. She signed the post it note thing so it could be left without the sig and stuck it on the front door, two days later they threw the birth cert in our garage and didn't even bother to get the post it note thing off the front door🙄

FedEx was supposed to deliver a set of tires for me yesterday. They were somehow lost or went off the radar in Belden, MS. No sign of the tires here or on the FedEx site.

Are y'all telling me FedEx has given in to the awful, terrible practice of third-party delivery contractors now? Why is everyone going to that? Third-party can't find my house in Hamilton, Alabama for exercise equipment, tires, or a refrigerator!

Fed Ex was supposed to send me something yesterday. The truck pulled in my driveway then drove off, no delivery. It was just some of the over-priced cat food my wife wants so I am not bent out of shape about it.
If I put a cat in a return box to Chewy do you think Fed Ex will pick it up?

If a tree falls in the woods and no one is around, does it make a sound?
If Fedex says they delivered a package but there is not one there, was it really delivered?
Things to ponder.
