In the market for some new waders and Im done with neoprene so thats out. Im looking at the Rogers 2n1 toughman or the final approach branta breathables. Anyone have any input and no I aint spending a grand on Sitkas although Ive hear they are nice.

They all suck! When I started duck hunting nearly 30 years ago you could get a pair of waders that would last 6-8 seasons no problem, they may not have been the most comfortable but they weren’t that bad and they were tough as nails! now I’m lucky to find a pair to get 2 seasons out of! This is the truth. They wouldn't sell many if they made em to last like they used to.

This is the truth!!!!! I bought Cabela's breathable waders when I started seriously duck hunting. They lasted 7 years and they replaced them when I poked a hole in the boot. Now 2-3 years is the norm.

There is no way in cornbreadhell that I would pay a bunch of money for a set of waders. I know they are expensive but anyone that has duck hunted much has put a hole in a pair of waders... beaver stob being the worst right through the boot foot.....
$800 pair of waders = City Boy's Gear.
I get the cheapest 5mm neoprene ones I can find they are disposable although sometimes I get several seasons out of them.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

Ole boy was trying to justify his purchase to me and explaining to me how they have such a great warranty yada yada yada. It doesn't matter about a warranty for waders. If you have to mail them back and wait for them to get fixed, you still have to buy another pair or go without waders until they get fixed.

One of the truest statements I have seen about waders. I had a pair of Cabelas neoprene and only reason I had to get another pair is the velcro got so thin, they would not hold on my shoulders. Damn good thing we don't have ducks here in Alabama anymore or I would still be a poor man.

Redballs were the ticket back then and I was much younger to handle those awkward waders. Wished I had a dollar every time they filled with water and broke a strap or stretched them out. My first neoprenes lasted all of 5 minutes, stobbed the boot. Put windshield sealant on the boots and back in business for years. Have a pair of Drake eco and they leak i the crotch a little. They’re rough on my bad back. I got some breathable banded that lasted 2 seasons almost. Have Chene now and the entire system is so much better and improved. I literally wear a third of the clothes I used to and stayed warmer and more comfortable than ever. Yep they cost but at my age and health I’ll pay for comfort. Besides when we hunt arkie we have uuunger guys that do all the work. 😝
