Our Constitution must be protected and kept solvent no matter what the cost and most importantly make sure the laws of the land are obeyed and enforced....Our Republic must be saved ... Principles mean nothing if the three branches of Government are not put in their place ...the Legislative, the Executive and the Judicial but, I do have high have hopes for the Supreme court and it's justices.
Having Sovereign borders,,, it's been said if we don't have borders we don't have a country... The rest of the world stands within their borders while the radical Dems and RIno's are doing their best to keep our borders open, whats worse they've shown they simply don't give a damn.
I watched a you tube video the other day,,, having no border gets us each and every migrant bequeathed with $2000 almost instantly when they cross over, give their fake names or show their fake papers and $2,000 a month when they get an address. They might not even need an address just a bank account. They're crossing over by the thousands each day. How in the hell are we supposed to support this kind of growth. Not going to happen.... the U.S. is over 32 trillion in debt and Biden wants to have a perpetual funding account for the Ukrainians. This type of governance is madness, it's insanity on the largest scale, it can't be sustained.
Limited Government ... Separation of Powers,, Federalism ,,Checks and Balances,, Republicanism,, Individual Rights .... these remaining principles mean nothing if the three branches of Government are not reigned in and made to do their job. The Democrats must not be allowed to keep the white house after the final count of ballots come November and in midterms of 26 we must take back the Senate and keep the house, they mustn't be allowed to get away with cheating , maybe we should cheat but harder than the dems if we want to save the country, The Dems mustn't rule.

This is a spin off of the Bill Maher thread.
What do you think the government should be responsible for in our lives and the affairs of state?
Personally I think the government's role should be basically limited to:
1. Protecting our property rights. 2. Protecting our natural rights of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. 4. Provide for the collective defense of our borders. 5. Collect the minimum taxes necessary to fund those responsibilities.
Basically uphold the Constitution and that's about it.

Glenn Beck would have a lot to say about Woodrow Wilson at this point.
To answer the question would be as minimal as necessary. What we have is a convoluted crony capitalistic system setup up to appease whichever side is in power
There is no dismantling the situation. It is designed to keep growing and folks getting in the way will be dealt with
Good old mafia at work. Or maybe cartel like eventually

It was Lincoln who sewed the seeds when he preserved the geography at the expense of the founding principles. Yup, ole Abe was the first American tyrant. Slavery should have never existed but trashing the Constitution and killing 700K Americans wasn't the answer.

It was Lincoln who sewed the seeds when he preserved the geography at the expense of the founding principles. Exactly! Nothing he wouldn’t have trampled on or destroyed to preserve the “union”. Been on the downhill slide ever since.
