I assume everybody/most of y’all own one.
This just popped up on my Amazon.
My FIL was a maint guy and that’s one of the first tools he gave me. It’s a must IMO.

When we hire a maintenance man, I give them a Leatherman Wave, Mini-Mag flashlight and a Fluke Voltage detector to keep on their person. This saves a lot of steps.

Be careful if you’re testing old cloth covered wire.

I can't stand an electric shock but he was apparently almost impervious to it. He'd wet his fingers before checking for current. I thought he was messing with me one day until I tried it too. Nope, not for me.

Growing up doing electrical work with my dad, he always used a Square D "Wiggy."

Had a neighbor who is a master electrician. He's been around the block a few times. He worked on some nukes and had some great stories about the newbies he worked with. He once told me one of the greenness forgot his meter and he told him to stick his tongue on it and if his hair stood up it was a live circuit. He's a crazy one. Covid almost killed him. He had to retire because he lost 40% use of his left arm. Sucks too because he's one you want on your side when the shtf.
