Dang. That sucks.
I was never into his music but I could appreciate his talent. Saw him at oak mountain back in the early 90s and it was probably my least favorite concert of all time. Just not into him. But I’d never seen a crowd more into an artist and they were having the time of their lives and I could enjoy that!
And man, what a brand!! That guy took a song and turned it into a lifestyle. Good for him. He will be missed by millions. RIP.

Anybody heard what got him? I haven’t seen anything yet. As Skinny said, he was in the hospital late last year and had to cancel some shows since then due to health problems. As others have said, he wrote and sang about a lifestyle that a lot of us can relate to, at least the being around the ocean and water parts. And he was very successful. His net worth is stated to be 1 billion dollars. No bad for a pirate 🏴☠️

I met Jimmy in '81 in Panama City, Fl. while I was in the USCG. I was sitting in a bar with some shipmates when in walks a guy that looked just like Jimmy Buffet. As he walked by our table, I said "Jimmy, sit down and have a beer." I didn't actually think it was Jimmy Buffet, but I was fairly lit and being friendly. He sat down for a beer from our pitcher, and had been there about 10 minutes or so before it finally got through the alcohol fog that this really WAS Jimmy Buffet! After that, whenever we pulled in anywhere he could get to, he always came drinking with us...he said he liked us because we only made him buy when it was his turn. Pretty sure we also got kicked out of every place we ever went with him...even his own place! LOL Good times. Haven't seen or talked to him since the early 90's...RIP, Jimmy, fair winds and following seas.

Yep! His Crazy Sista! Have eaten there numerous times. I've heard on the some weekends Jimmy would just show up and get on stage and play.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

Made enough money to buy Miami but pissed it away some how. If I had a choice to buy Miami or piss it away, I'd start unzipping and letting it fly. I liked him, didn't care for his music but my in-laws are big fans.
