Somebody posted up a sale that texasammunition had going on a week or so ago. Was looking at the AccuBonds? Not sure of the weight or mfg.
We've shot 140gr Core Lokt, Federal Premium for years and killed a ton of deer. Gun likes both.

Currently shooting Hornady ELd-X 143gr in wife's 6.5cm Bergara and was thinking of trying the 150 gr. they offer in the 7mm-08.

What's everyone like for their 7-08 that is 139gr up to 150?

Thanks

I’m shooting 140gr. Sierra GameKings. The 140gr. tipped Sierra GameKings would probably good. Going to try them in my 6.5 CM.

I shoot 140 grain Accubonds in my 7-08. I’ve also used 120 grain NBTs with great results, as well. That 120 grain NBT punches WAY above its weight class.

If you reload, 140gr Swift Scirocco. I also like the 140 Fusion. Have some of the 150gr Norma to try this year.

I shoot the 140 gr Winchester ballistic/silver tip when I have my shooting house gun and Hornady 139 gr softpoint in the woods.
I’ve shot the Winchester 140 for years. Honestly there’s so many good bullets out now, any decent 140 gr will work.

At 7-08 velocities the 140 NBT works great. They shoot well in just about every 7-08 I sent them through. I also like the 120gr Barnes as well.

shooting Hornady Lite 120SST in my 7mm-08 Rem. model 7. It appears to like them over the 150 grain stuff. Still wanting to try the 139gr pills. I assume the 20" barrel just don't get the heavier one up to speed.

Length of barrel doesn’t matter near as much as rate of twist.

Slower twists like lighter bullets and faster twists like heavy bullets.

My Model Seven has a 20” barrel. I also load for one with an 18.5” barrel. Both shoot 140 grain Accubonds and Partitions very accurately.

Never had issues with 140 corelokt until they couldn't be found.
140 Nosler accubond have been deadly, but they are now $80+ per box
Bought a bunch of 150 ELDX and Norma during COVID, but have not shot any.

Reloading has its perks. I don’t think I’ve paid over $20/50 for Accubond bullets. I stocked up when I first got started, so I’ll never run out. 😎

I think the 140 grain Accubonds were what a friend had suggested.

Upon further review, the 140 accubond can be found from $40-50
Many swear by the 120 Barnes TTSX
