How many sqft?
How much $$?
What temperature do you keep the thermostat at?

For us last month it was $150, 1960sqft 1 story, temp ranges from 72-76F depending on time of day/if anyone is home

What are you talking about. Are Bidenomics destroying the middle class in America? See, they are working just fine.

I just bought a hybrid solar powered 12k btu mini split heat pump to try. During sunny daytime its 100% running off solar supplying ac or heating.
When sun starts to drop it starts to meter in power from your house untill its back fully on house power. When sun comes up it starts tricking in solar power and reduces power input from house.
These units dont require batteries , converters, etc like most solar things.
Simple 2 wire hook up right from solar panel. Im going to try this one ton unit and if it works good get their 24k 2 ton unit.
The 12k btu i have requires 900-1400 watts of solar. You can buy used 240w panels for under $50 each.

yeah, obviously a ton of factors on why it differs from house to house, so telling us yours is $150 well, it's great for you but you aren't comparing apples to apples. Insulation, windows, age of house, roof, shady or full sun...lots of factors. I'm on budget billing thank goodness so I basically pay the same every month of the year but I can look and see what my bill would have been and think it's also been in the $400 plus range. 2600 sq foot single story in FL. My 1200 sq foot fully spray foamed barndo that's being built just got the ac running in it and it looks like the AC will be about $60-75 a month to run, so probably will end up in the $150 plus range when all is said and done.

Mine is too, the women in my house forget to bump thermostat up when they leave, so when I get home most days it’s still set to 70 in the house

Our house was built in 1979 and has single pane windows. Gas stove, gas furnace and gas water heater.
Lots of shade from trees.
$25 of the bill is trash

That's good considering age of house, wonder if someone redid some insulation at some point? What is age/size of AC unit? That shade makes a HUGE difference. I work from home, so while I do turn it up a few degrees during the day, it is still basically running a good portion of the day.

With all the solar farms, increased appliance standards and mandates the power bill should be cheaper. But once again we see how the government helping us screws us over. But like everyone else I'll just bend over and take it.

Looks like you are the winner thus far.
I sure hope the rent on that house is cheap
