This morning I was talking to a customer, then all of a sudden the call dropped and the phone didn't have a signal. Now there are 2 towers around the shop this phone can pick up. Didn't have any signal. I look on google on the computer to see if there is an outage, then the not so bright speed internet went down. Then car alarms started going off. It got me thinking about what ifs. I guess I need to be added to the list of folks that are dependent on these damn phones. I never really thought about it before, but not being able to get ahold of my wife is not a good feeling. Now being in the middle of no man's land with no signal is one thing, but in the middle of town not being able to communicate is a bit concerning. Come to find out, it was more than likely caused by a solar storm.

Solar storm didnt do that, it was most likely some idiot who pressed the wrong button. Solar Storm would have knocked out more than just one service provider in a small area. But not having comms in a populated area is more disconcerting than not having them if you are out in the middle of nowhere.
