Half of my fall plots will be WMS deer magnet, the other half Alabama Blend. The rest will be a blend of Durana, Regal Graze, Yuchi arrowleaf, and Barduro red clover. Will probably start planting the last week of September.

I plant half my fields in WMS Deer Magnet and half in Buck Busters seed. Great late fall, winter and spring seed mixtures.

Probably just do turnips this year. They have always done good. Maybe a side of rape too.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

So some of you like WMS seed? I usually plant just the coop 7 way or 5 way, but I'm looking to change that up this year

Don't overlook the Buck Busters if you can find it. The WMS Magnet Is very good, but the Buck Busters is a little better and both have blends that will last thru the next spring and early summer.

If you only have a few acres to plant and want a ready made mix where it doesnt make sense to mix your own, WMS is about as good as you can get. No filler seed. It's all I've planted for the past 4 years. Planted Alabama Blend for the first time on my property at home where I would normally see 3 to 4 deer per sit. The year I planted it I saw more deer than ever. Seeing as many as 20 per sit on a good day. Have noticed the same effect on other places I've planted it also.

I have a decent stand of joint vetch in my primary (small) plots. Some red clover and teosinte making an appearance. My pH is good and holding around 6.4. I’m looking to do a fall planting of chicory and will probably toss down a blend of cereals come late Sept if the weather allows.

I usually stay away from mixes that have winter peas in them because I have always though they never make it and its a waste. To the contrary, I thought about planting a 6 acre field in winter peas with a little cereal grain just in case. Anyone ever tried to plant a big field in winter peas to combat the grazing pressure. I would say my are is low to medium density.

Our fields that had just oats and wheat last year did just as well as the fields that had Alabama blend. If you get your soil right then that is the main thing.
