Where are the other or “hidden” locations? Need to verify a SN or as JD refers to them a product identification number. The plate that is on the lower right frame area is mostly covered by the mounting plate of the loader and faded bad. It is a cab tractor if that helps. I think I remember there being one around the upper part of the headliner on some models?

There are several on the tractor. Unfortunately the one you’re referencing on the frame rail is the one you need. The others are different. There’s one for the cab, transmission and one on the engine. There MAY be a way to cross reference some of the other ones back to the VIN one you need. Problem is finding the person who can find that info. A good dealer with an experienced service manager might know the right person to call at Lenexa KS (corporate HQ) or Waterloo (large tractor factory).

Good luck. You’ll need it.

Honestly, at the end of the day the easiest and quickest way to do this is to park the loader off the tractor. Get sockets and a big impact and loosen the loader mount that’s covering the frame and plate. Take your pic and tighten it all back up. Could likely be done in an hour.

The one on the frame is unreadable, unfortunately. Already went down the road of loosening the loader. I’ve got what the dealer says is the SN from a previous service but I’d like to verify myself. I’ve got the engine & axle SN which are visible. I could have sworn there was another one in a “hidden” area

May not be of use on your model but we had an older tractor that had a plate on the rear near the PTO. Couldn't see it unless you kneeled down directly behind the tractor. Practically invisible if you were standing in the same spot.

Is it new enough to have a sticker ? If so it may be long gone.

2007 model I believe. That original metal tag is there, just torn and worn down
