I don't own one but I have an uncle who does and I've shot a many boxes through it. If I could find a 12 gauge with 26" or 28" modified choke that I could afford I'd buy it.

They are made by Howa. Howa makes fantastic rifles but I've got no experience with their shotguns.

Yep
I owned one my Dad bought new in 76'
Was/is still a good shooter
I inherited the shotgun when my Dad died and I gifted it to my nephew when he got married
He still uses it occasionally

I've owned one since the early 1980s. Reliable and shoots all types of ammo well from slugs to ducks to dove loads. Killed a bunch of all with mine. Shot dove with it last year. It does kick more than a comparable 1100.

The have a rubber seal inside the the gas system that will melt and gum up the works.
I found a replacement part a few month back for one.
In years past, I've trimmed garden hose washers to fit and got them running again

I replaced the rubber stop with a similar sized rubber grommet about 30 years ago. Been running the grommet ever since. The original rubber had turned to gue I assumed from gun cleaner.

That’s exactly what I did to mine to make it cycle like it should

I wore one slap out. One of the best guns I ever owned. Ran thousands of rounds through it in every style of hunting. Was murder on doves

Bill is right and beat me to it. I have a friend who knows *way* more about guns than I do, and he says they are really well made shotguns (and often with beautiful wood).

My younger brother got one for his 1st gun back around ‘79-80. I loved it. It ended up being a POS tho. Just not made well like the Winchesters and Remingtons of that era. He hocked it a gun show or pawn shop for $50 in college or shortly afterwards.

My BIL got one in high school back in the late 1980s. He used it to duck hunt in North Alabama for 20 years and I’m not sure if he ever cleaned it. Worked great until a few years ago. There is one for sale on Gun Broker.
