I’d do no less than a ranger sized truck. Really a half ton if that’s possible. Like someone said the maverick is really just a car with a little bed stuck on there.

Wow. Picture really shows how small they are. Have to be a midget to fit in that with no room. So much for “truck”. I thought they were bigger with a short bed 4wd to conveniently throw a deer in but that’s too small. rofl

Don't invest in a Maverick. They're just a cheap made truck and will be junk when they hit 150k. They don't hold their value and they are not quality vehicles. They are an odd ball product that can't be taken seriously. Kinda like a Ford Pinto. Invest in something that's better made.

I'd buy a dang ranger before I would a Maverick. And a ranger is cheap junk too. I don't mean to sound harsh but small American made trucks are trash.

Not a truck. Not body in frame construction, a unibody like a car which means towing anything more than a riding mower is too much.

That would be in line with buying a baby bronco. I'd buy a Subaru before the maverick

I like my Nissan Frontier Sv with the 6 cylinder 4.0. Plenty of get up and go. Seems well made. It won't haul long lumber like the old F150 would. I have a trailer for that.

I have a 2022 Maverick XLT, FX4, AWD, 4K Tow package, with Luxury package. It was $30,500 out the door. I don’t regret it for a minute. It drives great, gets me around the farm great, and gets fantastic gas mileage. I have hauled 4x8 Sheetrock, 16’ sticks of trim, several deer, mulch, etc. I’m thinking about buying another one. The order banks open July 17 and will sell out in 2-3 days. It will take a year unless you find one on a lot.

The only thing I think I have sacrificed is some ground clearance which I can fix when the warranty is over.

That’s impressive seeing how the bed is 4’5” long. You must have some really good strapping skills. Ford says that it will haul 37 bags of 40lb mulch when properly equipped. From my past experiences, Sheetrock is a pain in the ass to haul in a pick up without it getting damaged.

since the movie top gun came out they are selling like hotcakes. They could probably call one the Iceman and it would have similar results.

I haul the 16’ trim pieces exactly like I did with my F150 Supercrew. I strap them on the roof using pool noodles to keep them off the paint. The bed is designed to haul 4x8 sheets. They sit on the wheel wells and the tailgate has two settings when open. With the tailgate in the upper position it supports the plywood or Sheetrock etc.

Is the maverick perfect? Nope. But i don’t know of any truck that is. That’s why you have so many options,
