Those of you who fish for bass at night,do you use black light, green light or some other color or just no light? I have some portable green led lights I can set up on my boat so my old eyes can see the bank enough to cast at it but I feel like it may scare the fish. Any ideas are appreciated.

Casting at night to a bank is tricky. You want to light up the bank without the light shining in your eyes.
Best I have seen is a strip of UV tape lights along the outer edge of the gunwales. Then you wear a
headlight so you can function within the boat. Good luck ! Fluorescent line helps also.

I never used lights and my eyes adjusted to where I could cast accurately. If you are fishing near docks and houses you’ll get some light from that. My anchor light was usually enough to give me some depth perception. I do like a clip on light for my hat while changing lures.

In front of my lathe
Years ago we just used a automotive clamp on work light with the big silver reflector and a 12v bulb after cutting the plug off and installing some aligator clamps.
I cought more fish at night with that white light than I have in years with just the black lights I now have in my rub rail.
I also had one of the bass pro fishing lights until it quit working. The whit light in it was a soft glow and didn't seem to spook the fish

Well my trip was going well last night until about 9pm then a big Tstorm ran us off the water. I'm pretty disappointed we didn't get to fish past midnight like I planned.we were around so many docks no extra light was needed to fish. I work this weekend but will give it another shot next week.

Finally made a trip last night, sure was nice. Temps were cool & only saw a couple other boats. The bigs didn't cooperate but I caught a few eating size spots. Here is a picture of the leds I've used for years, I keep them in a storage compartment I until needed. They don't throw a spot, just a faint green glow casting distance from the bank. I still wonder since I didn't catch any big ones if the lights scare them or I just wasn't in the right place at the right time.

Too funny. I had to look three times to see why you had a satellite dish mounted to your transom light. smile
