My son and I had first dibbs on an F350. Low miles, garage kept, driven like a baby, all maintenance documented AND we know the seller. I was kind hoping the son would give it a pass as I had been working on the wife for several weeks lol. The boy drove it 5 min and took it lol, I knew he would, he's been after that truck for the last 10yrs. We had it dropped off here while he was at work and I cleaned it up a little.

he got it to pull stuff, he’ll be pulling excavators and all that stuff on the weekends since they can use the work equipment for personal use. The cool part is the interiors basically flawless, and don’t even have any carpet stains lol.

Best diesel ever made imo. He will probably want to get a tuner in it to pep it up a bit. From the factory they came turned down. It’ll pull an excavator no problem.

It’s already been done, but he’s going to change it up to his likings

Leroy beat me to it. That’s a real do all truck. Clean oil, clean fuel and filters & it’ll run for a very long time

Sounds like 6” springs in the front to level it and I think wider Nittos to start.

This is what always concerns me-the sudden stop when someone pulls out in front of you thinking they gotta' get ahead of you because you are going to be driving slow pulling a load.I pull some heavy loads with a V-6 Tacoma. I can pull it all day long, but it takes a bit to stop it! Scary sometimes.

The boys digging his newest rig. I think he’ll keep this one for a long time. He’s already swapped out the yellow cab lights to clear, added a headache rack, and tinted the windows and he’s obviously hauling stuff just like I figured he would be.

I had a 02 F450 with the 7.3L. Pulled a 30' camper. If towing alot, upgrades I would do:

Larger tranny cooler (and add a tranny gauge)
https://www.dieselworldmag.com/ford/%EF%BB%BFcool-running/

Oil cooler O rings
https://www.riffraffdiesel.com/oil-cooler-seal-kit-94-03/

Fuel filer cover
https://www.riffraffdiesel.com/riff...33eAgitLKU-G5dwM6spn-eJXOQxoCM8QQAvD_BwE

Parts to always have on hand
A crank sensor and the 10mm socket and ratchet to change it.
Fuel pump (change it now if over 100K miles)
Glow plug relay

If you were near by I have some Thule roof racks for kyaks I would give you

I’m sure he would like the racks. I know he has some of the things you mentioned because I think he’s owned three F3 50s, I know for sure the last two anyway.
