I am looking for two sets of brickmasons scaffolding, 5 feet wide. I would also like the walkboards and casters. Preferably in the Clanton area.

To purchase or rent? New or used? When you say “two sets” are you looking for two complete separate scaffolds or do you mean stacked two high? If stacked two high are you looking for one complete deck level or two? Guardrails and guardrail posts or no? I work for Sunbelt Rentals-Scaffold Division.

You’re looking at about $954.00 plus tax. Yes, that’s high. The steel market drives the prices and has driven the scaffold market up tremendously over the past year. Most places are charging you for what they will have to pay to replace it. Plus, the scaffold you’ll get from a bona fide scaffold company has a stronger, thicker, material wall. If you aren’t going to be using it all the time, I’d recommend looking at buying new from Northern Tool or from an online source. You might try looking at FB marketplace or Craigslist too. Just be careful, if you go that route, that the material isn’t damaged, affecting the structural integrity. It isn’t worth it. I see people all the time balk at paying $500.00 more for something than what they think they should, when it’s their life that’s on the line. I just tell them, “well, now that you’ve told me what your life and health are worth…”. Let me know if I can help you.

Also I’ve seen some of the Home Depot’s have started carrying 5’ frames. Don’t know how competitive their prices are but that could be an option. And they also carry casters and screw feet

I should have mentioned for what you’re looking at purchasing you can rent that for about $100 a month plus tax if you are planning on using it more than once or twice

NEVER rent scaffold by the week. Industry standard on scaffolding is a 28 day minimum, prorated to a daily rate thereafter. ALL scaffold companies do this. You probably paid more for a week than you would have a month. Of course if you rent it from a rental location that scaffold isn’t their sole product, that’ll happen. Always rent from a scaffold rental company if you can. You get a much better deal.

Well. That was my first time and only needed it for a day. It was also not known that I’d need it so quickly so there’s that too. Now I know. Thanks for the info.
