Wake just gave LSU their first loss. That was a hell if a game That was a good game. LSU had them on the ropes. Wake is going to be tough to get past especially with having to beat them twice.
I’m not sure we can make enough of just how good of a play that was by Wake’s catcher on Morgan. Possibly a Championship saving play.

I've really enjoyed this series. Some great games and great pitching. I'd be shocked if Skenes pitches today. He's got a golden arm that they will not risk.

LSU vs TN. Is it bad that I wanted both teams to lose?  I got a feeling that Wake is gonna mess up at the wrong time. It's darn near impossible to run that streak to the end. Be really impressive it they do it.

Also pretty cool watching Skenes pitch It's probably just me, but I also ain't so keen on the 3rd baseman for Wake playing with his jersey buttoned only halfway up. I'm not sure if he going to play a baseball game or hitting Studio 54 in 1977. I'm surprised the coach or umps haven't told him to button his shirt up. He's a dang good player though so I guess he gets to do what he wants.

I think it’ll be a bullpen game for sure. Ackenhausen and Cooper did an incredible job. They should have 3-4 fresh arms out there to try to go the way, but those games typically don’t go in favor of the bullpen team.
Skenes, Floyd and Hurd have been the starters since they lost some arms mid season. I was surprised to see them run Hurd out when Floyd ran out of gas 1st matchup with Wake.
LSU is going to have to win with offense tonight and score a bunch of runs. But listening to KP and Todd Walker, apparently Wake has eleventy pitchers that are aces.
I don’t look for LSU to win tonight but if they do, and Skenes goes tomorrow, all bets are off.
