I've been cutting grass with a 1991 yazoo Tri wheel commercial mower for the last 15 years. I'm gonna miss her. I keep 4 & 1/2 acre cut and I want something commercial grade with a 60 inch cut, hope this will be the last mower I purchase. What would you buy if you were in the market?

I love Toro commercial mowers. Built like a tank and they have the Kawasaki motor you will want for sure. Skag, Gravely, and X Mark are all good mowers. Tough to make a choice.
I can't stand a thief.

Toro. I jjust bought another one for my business. If it aint got a Kawasaki on it dont buy it. They sure aint cheap but if your using it as a homeowner and take care of it, then it may outlive you.

Depending on budget, a diesel Kubota. Yep , saw one in action this afternoon , impressive. I don't see how there's anything out there better.

One thing I look for is parts and service. Just something to keep in mind. Belts blades , parts like starters and such that will need replacing.

I’ve been cutting 4 acres with a Kubota ZD221 diesel with a 54” deck for the last 12 years. Only issue I’ve had with it was replacing the starter last year and a clogged fuel line about 2 years ago.

I have the same mower and about 10 years ago the starter was getting pretty weak. I was about to replace it until I saw how expensive a replacement was. I can’t remember the exact details but I took the starter apart and removed grass clippings and dirt, greased it up and put it back together. It’s been fine ever since. Maybe this info can help someone down the road. That’s the only problem I’ve ever had out of it.
