Anybody know of a good tire service shop up this way that handles tractor tires? Needing a set of 16.9x30. Had one spring a sidewall leak today when mounting the hay mower. Both are in need of replacement anyways, but dadgumit what chitty timing.

Looks like Kelly Tires in Huntsville is closed. Wilks Tire is higher than giraffe booty.

There is a shop in Town Creek "Lawrence County" that has been great to work with over the last 20 years. Gabe's Tires has a service truck and they will come to the field if we are broke down and replace, repair, etc whatever we need. They are more than reasonable and everyone around us uses them whenever they need tires. Many folks buy their car tires as well from them.

They are on the internet as Gabes Tires if you want to pull it up. Gabe is a good man and his workers are not crack heads who cant do anything else. I know you are a ways apart, but if it were me, I would at least give him a call and check him out.

Hope this helps.

I can't stand a thief.

Anyway of using a boot and a tube, as finding a 16.9x30 set of tractor tires in stock, I would think, I’d going to be an issue?

Maybe a local co-op

God Bless,

Where are you located? Are you wanting it changed on site? Just call the John Deere place on research and ask them for a referral. Surely they would know someone if they didn’t provide that service.

Gensco Tires in Anniston is worth the drive if you need a new set. I have bought some from them and they are stupid tough.... I don't know how many plies they are but it's got to be ridiculous. Toughest tires I've come across. Otherwise I get Firestone Bias tires simply because they are easy to get.

Wilks in Albertville has 8 ply Crop Max R1 in stock. $1690 out the door for two tires, two tubes, liquid ballast, mounted. A boot isn't an option as the sidewall is split and pissing a stream about the size of a pencil.

I'll check with Gensco also.

Gensco 14 ply $762 each with tube. 20 ply $950. They do not mount tires.
